Baking and Cooking Basics

In this 12 week course, all students will participate in a weekly virtual cooking class with cooking class instructor and recipe developer, Margie Kendall. Classes will be live and interactive, and several days before class, students will receive a list of necessary ingredients to participate in the instruction. Each week, the students will have a follow up assignment that should take around an hour or so to complete.

All participating students will have the opportunity to be part of a private Facebook group where questions can be asked, photos of cooking/baking can be shared, and they can interact with their instructor, Margie. Parents may join the group as well.

Dates: Every Wednesday at 1pm, starting January 20th for 12 weeks (last class April 7th).

Duration: About an hour. Some classes may be slightly longer or slightly shorter. Post-class assignments should take around an hour as well, resulting in about a 2 hour a week commitment.

Cost: $100 for 12 weeks of instruction. Some additional costs can be expected for cooking and baking ingredients. Only basic kitchen equipment will be needed, so there should not be any equipment expenses.

Communication: Parents’ emails will be provided at registration and Margie will email all details including schedule, payments, weekly shopping lists, info on joining the private Facebook group, and more.
