No cocktail shaker? Use a travel mug or large mason jar with a lid!

A refreshing combination of lightly sweet, the tiniest bit tart, and a hint of herbaceous flavor that is perfect for a summer day drink. Pineapple and sage go together perfectly to make this unique cocktail that breaks free from the piña colada rut. Best enjoyed on the porch during a sunny afternoon.

Per Cocktail:

  • 3 oz Pineapple Juice

  • 2 oz White Rum

  • 1 1/2 oz Sage Simple Syrup (see simple syrup recipes here)

  • 1/2 oz Lemon Juice

  • 2 sage leaves (per cocktail) for muddling

  • Optional: fresh sage for garnish

  1. In a cocktail shaker, place the fresh sage leaves and muddle at the bottom. Don’t have a muddler? Use anything that smashes them up and releases some of their natural juices.

  2. Add the pineapple juice, rum, simple syrup, lemon juice, and at least 3 ice cubes per cocktail you’re making at once.

  3. Shake hard until your hand is so cold that you can’t hold on anymore (about 30 seconds).

  4. Strain drinks into glass of choice.

  5. Garnish with a leaf of sage, and drink cold. Enjoy!
